Ready in 20: Lip-Smacking Lemon Chicken for Lunch 

We don’t cook much, but we eat, a lot! But it’s not always outside food. Mommy Z is a fabulous cook and a master of easy, effortless recipes that take literally no time. And if you ever try one of her recipes you’ll know how delicious they are. So since her regular blog ( recipes from mom’s kitchen) which used to get published in a website has been on a sabbatical I thought it would be best to share them here.

Here’s the recipe of one of her latest creations in the kitchen, The Lemon Chicken that she made just as she was trying to use up all the ingredients in the kitchen. And it turned out to be super yum.


1 chicken, washed and cleaned

100 or a little more kaju

30 gms almonds

3 green chilies

One tiny piece of adrak

2/3 cloves of garlic

Little jeera

Grind all the above to a fine paste ( very fine)
Butter ( Acc to taste but generous)

1/2 lime

1/2 tsp haldi

Salt to taste

1 finely chopped onion


Take the chicken and marinate it with salt, pepper, haldi, lime and a blob of butter and the grinded kaju paste. Mix it well.

In another pan out some oil and sort one finely chopped onion.

Put the marinated chicken and cook on low flame stirring on regular intervals. Add little water if necessary.

When oil comes up, chicken is done.

Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve.

    P.s I generally do not repeat my meals in a day this was definitely worth it!
