I decided to do The Raw Pressery Beauty Cleanse on a Monday since, Sundays for me are usually low-key and involve just resting it out at home and spending quality time with Netflix. So food-wise too, relativly easy too with no outside food. Lunch was home-cooked food of rice, soup and Caesar salad made by mommy dearest. Although not entirely healthy I did keep the portion sizes limited. I also ate a plate of pani puri at around 6PM and dinner of half a bowl of rice (pulao) and half a bowl of chicken soup at around 8PM. This was followed up with cold milk with Nesquick at 10.30PM and warm water with ACV at 11.30ish.

THE DETOX DAY (Beauty Detox from Raw Pressery)
The aim was to get up by 7am and go for a walk. But of course that didn’t happen and although I did wake up at 6.45am, I only physically got out of bed by 8am. I started the day with a warm glass of water and lime. After 30 mins, I had my everyday usual, glass of sugarless milk.
9.00AM – TRIM
Made of Kale, Spinach, Doodhi, Amla, Ginger and Lemon this juice was smooth in consistency and easy to gulp down. It looks weird with a deep green colour and gives out the vibe of all things healthy and non-tasty. But after taking a sip I realized that it’s not that bad. The flavor of lime cuts out all the sour taste and undertones of ginger work wonders to soothe your throat even in a cold juice. Finished this one off in 5 minutes.
NOTE: I planned to go foodless the entire day but carried a banana just in case I got tempted to eat. I carried the insulated bag (which thetjuices come in) with me to work with the three juices in it (For 11.30pm, 2.00pm and 4.00pm). Kept the others at home in the fridge to be consumed when I am home in the evening.
10.30AM – Green Tea
I have this every day after stepping into office so did the same on this day.
11.30AM – LIFE.
A thick blend of Strawberry, blueberry, banana and pineapple. This cold-pressed smoothie is rich and flavourful. You can feel the unadulterated goodness in every sip! The underlying flavor of Banana along with strawberries tastes quite good and the natural sweetness of the fruits keeps you wanting to sip on some more. Also because this one is thick, it fills you up and keeps you satiated for long. At least till 2pm when you’ve got to drink up the next juice. Consumed this one very slowly as I felt full because of the green tea and previous juice. This ones really tasty and I was able to finish it by 12pm.
1.43PM: I had peed a lot already! Thanks to all the liquids I had been taking in. But I did feel light and slightly more energetic. Also started craving solid food because it was lunch time. But I waited patiently for my 2PM juice. #Observation.
Apple, beet, carrot, ginger and lemon mix. This juice is a nice, deep red colour that it gets from beetroot. The texture is smooth and consistency watery which makes it easy to swallow and finish off in 10 minutes flat. Strong flavor of ginger and lemon.
3.19PM: 3 Marie biscuits
Only because I missed putting solid food in my mouth. No hunger pangs, just a weird but good feeling.
Made of activated charcoal, organic honey, lemon, pure h20 and rock salt. The consistency was similar to water. The colour is black which might come off as scary but the taste is refreshing. The flavor of lemon is overpowering and the rock salt gives it dimension. Can be had in one big gulp. But I took small sips and finished this by 5.15pm. Still no hunger pangs.
Made up of Cucumber, Coconut H2O, Lemon Grass, Pineapple and lemon this one tastes like any normal citrus juice with undertones of lemon grass which made it refreshing. The pineapple was the dominant flavor while the coconut water and cucumber ensured it cools you down and lemon adds that extra zest of flavor. The consistency is watery and can be easily swallowed but I took around 30 minutes to finish this as I was still quite full and my juice was too cold due to being kept in the fridge all day.
8.00PM: BONUS – HEAL
This one can be consumed at any time during the day. So I had it at around 8PM. It’s a small shot so doesn’t take up a lot of time but its pretty spicy to swallow, in one gulp. The spice comes from Cayenne pepper that’s believed to be good for weight loss. The other ingredients in this one were Turmeric, coconut milk and pineapple.
A mix of Matcha, Kale, Coconut, Guava, Apple, Mint and Lemon this was another normal beverage that tasted alright. The flavour of Guava was dominant along with Apple which I am not a fan of, but mint and lemon added the zest. Consistency was watery thus easily consumable. The colour may put you off, but taste-wise it’s not so bad. Finished this by 9.30PM.
By 10.30PM I was ready to retire and so finished the day with a warm glass of water and 2 teaspoons of Apple cider vinegar. I have been doing this for a while.
Learnings: It was quite an eventful and energetic day and not as tough as I thought. I learnt that you only crave food when you are hungry, so don’t starve yourself. Consuming the juices on intervals made sure I am full and don’t need to eat anything else.
I did end up removing body waste of various colours (pink after the Flush juice and green after light and peed a lot which is good because the toxins need to get flushed out of your body.)
